get well paw, Chase

Chase the Miniature Pinscher needs your help!

Chase, get well paw
Chase, post-surgery to save his broken leg.

This sweet Miniature Pinscher, “Chase,” needs your help to recover from a badly broken leg.

Chase is four months old and was recently surrendered to the Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre after suffering a badly broken leg. This poor little guy jumped down too many stairs, fracturing his fibula and tibia.

Wrapped in a blanket, this trooper was in visible pain when he arrived to our centre. He whimpered as our staff examined him, yet remained friendly and cooperative despite his discomfort. We immediately took him to a veterinarian who determined surgery was needed to save Chase’s leg.

We’re pleased to report the procedure to insert hardware into Chase’s leg to stabilize the injury was successful! He’s now recovering, but it will be a long road before he’s ready for adoption, which is why we need your support to help recover the costs of his surgery and care while he recuperates.
