FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - St. Catharines, ON (January 28, 2016) The Lincoln County Humane Society in St. Catharines has laid charges under the Ontario SPCA Act against one accused in St. Catharines. The investigation and charges stem from a Niagara Regional Police Service drug investigation.

On January 26, 2016 the LCHS attended a home on Page Street in St. Catharines to assist NRPS, when animals were discovered on the property during their execution of a warrant. 5 dogs were removed from the property.

Following an investigation by the LCHS, 4 charges for failing to provide food and water, failing to provide sanitary conditions, causing distress and permitting distress have been laid. The accused is set to appear in St. Catharines Provincial Offences Court on March 11, 2016.
