Adopt a cat during the Ontario SPCA’s “iAdopt Urgent Appeal” adoption blitz

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Newmarket, ON (August 11, 2016) – Ontario SPCA Animal Centres across the province will be taking part in an “iAdopt Urgent Appeal” adoption blitz this month to help find homes for the recent influx of cats in their care.

From Thursday, Aug. 11 to Sunday, Aug. 21, ALL ADULT CATS will be available for a special adoption fee of $50 each at Ontario SPCA Animal Centres across the province. The average cost of care for one cat over the course of its stay is $458. All cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, come with a gift of six weeks of pet insurance and are up to date with their vaccines.

The goal of this iAdopt Urgent Appeal is to find loving fur-ever homes for as many cats as possible. By adopting a cat, you can help ensure space becomes available for other animals in need.

“If you are able to welcome a cat into your home, please consider adopting during our iAdopt Urgent Appeal,” says Tonya Martin, Director, Animal Centres & Humane Programming, Ontario SPCA. “Our goal is to find a forever home for every cat in our care. Even if you’re not able to adopt, you can still help by telling others about our iAdopt Urgent Appeal.”
