Update - Break and Enter at the Ontario SPCA Barrie Animal Centre

August 18, 2016 - Barrie, OntarioUPDATE - On Wednesday, August 17, 2016, a woman located a stray dog in Innisfil Township. The dog was recognized as missing from Barrie and was brought to the Ontario SPCA. He was positively identified by staff members as the missing Jack Russell Terrier Mix - Rosco. He was in good health, however his hair had been shaved and his collar had been changed.

The investigation is continuing and police are seeking the whereabouts of one dog (Nala), who still remains missing. The Ontario SPCA are concerned for her well-being as Nala was recently spayed and was wearing a cone at the time she was taken. She does require pain medication and care to her recent incision.

Nala is described as;

  • Shepherd/Husky/Collie Mix
  • Female, recently spayed, wearing a cone and requires pain medication.
  • Black in colour with white freckles on up the back thighs.
  • Straight tail (no curl as a Husky would have)
  • Approx. 44lbs.
