Media Release - Welland and District SPCA

For Immediate Release - Welland, Ontario - On Thursday August 18, 2016 at approximately 6:30 PM a black four door sedan was seen being driven in the area of Main Street and Erie Street in the Town of Selkirk. The vehicle slowed down on Main Street and tossed a 12 week old kitten out of the window. It was last seen heading West on Main Street towards Nanticoke. The kitten is a male, Domestic Shorthair, brown and white with tabby striping. Witnesses who observed this were able to confine the kitten and reported it immediately.

The Welland and District SPCA attended the area and picked up the kitten. It was immediately transported to a veterinarian. Upon assessment it was determined that the kitten had suffered a fractured leg.
