FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Stouffville, ON (December 8, 2016) – This holiday season, shop the Ontario SPCA’s Paws & Give™ 2016 Holiday Symbolic Giving Catalogue to find a gift for the animal lover on your list that gives back in purrs and tail wags.
Paws & Give is filled with one-of-a-kind gifts that help change the lives of animals in need. New this year is Judy, the most recent addition to the Rocky & Friends line of plush animals.
At just three weeks old, the real Judy that inspired the plush was part of a community dog transfer and rehoming operation from a remote northern community. Judy and her six siblings were among the dogs transferred and were welcomed into a temporary foster home to be nurtured until they were old enough to be adopted. Today the black Shepherd-Labrador mix is a year old and is happy, healthy and loved by the family that adopted her.
The Rocky & Friends collection consists of six limited edition plush toys – Rocky, Maddison, Tyson, Velvet, Bear and Judy – that come with an adoption certificate and are inspired by real animals that found their forever homes through the Ontario SPCA. When you give this plush toy as a gift, you will be helping other animals like Judy get a second chance.
Other must-have holiday items include the Ontario SPCA’s 2017 Second Chances calendar and animal-themed holiday cards.
There are also a number of symbolic gifts available throughout the year to help the many animals the Ontario SPCA sees everyday. For example, purchase “Toys for a Shelter Pet” for a friend or loved one and they’ll receive a card notifying them of the gift made in their name.
“Through the Ontario SPCA’s Holiday Symbolic Giving Catalogue, there are gifts to help all kinds of animals from the moment they’re rescued to the moment they find new forever families,” says Marc Ralsky, Director of Community and Donor Development, Ontario SPCA. “This holiday season, give the gift that changes lives.”
The Ontario SPCA is a non-profit organization that is primarily operated by donations. Shop at pawsandgive.ca this holiday season and help an animal in need.
