IMMEDIATE RELEASE - NEWMARKET, ON (November 1, 2012) – The Ontario SPCA has teamed up with animal organizations from around the world to participate in the annual Iams Home 4 the Holidays pet adoption campaign. The Society will be participating in the campaign from November 1, 2012 through January 2, 2013, helping place orphaned pets into loving forever homes over the holiday season.

“There are thousands of homeless pets in our province,” says Tanya Firmage, Director of Animal Welfare & Operations. “We’re proud to be a part of this amazing campaign and are dedicated to giving homeless pets a second chance at a happy life with a new, loving family.”

The Ontario SPCA encourages those who are not able to adopt, to purchase a Paws & Give gift to help the many animals that the Ontario SPCA sees every day. Proceeds from this program will go directly to the Ontario SPCA’s efforts to prevent cruelty to animals and help the animals in their care. Visit to view all the available gifts.

Be sure to visit frequently during this time for Iams Home 4 the Holidays adoption events at your local Ontario SPCA branch.
