YORK REGIONAL POLICE WARNS OF INCIDENTS OF ANIMAL CRUELTY
York Regional Police, the Ontario SPCA and the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville Bylaw Department are inviting members of the media to attend the Stouffville Community Policing Centre located at 6176 Main Street in Stouffville on Thursday, October 3, 2013, at 11 a.m., where information about a series of animal cruelty incidents will be provided.
York Regional Police and the Ontario SPCA are conducting investigations into six incidents where the heads of dismembered cats were found placed in public locations concentrated in a one kilometre area around Tenth Line and Main Street. These incidents are not believed to be accidental or a result of a predatory animal.
Spokespeople from York Regional Police and the Ontario SPCA will be available to speak to media.
