The Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre is requesting the public’s help in raising funds for a number of needy animals

NEWMARKET, ON (November 29, 2013) – The Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre (PEAC) recently received a large number of Pugs, Boston Terriers and Chihuahua-type dogs that were removed by the Ontario SPCA from an irresponsible breeder.

The dogs arrived at PEAC with a wide variety of medical issues. These issues ranged from requiring on-going nursing care, specialized surgeries and a complicated pregnancy.

Caring for these dogs and providing the medical attention they were in desperate need of, has put a significant strain on PEAC’s resources.

Now PEAC needs your help.

“Everyday, our staff continue to work diligently toward a "happy ending" for these dogs,” says Jennifer Toof, Acting Branch Manager. “We’re pleased to report that many of these dogs have made a full recovery and are now happily living with their new adoptive families or ready to be adopted.”

PEAC’s goal is to raise $6,000 to help cover the cost of these dogs’ care and other needy animals like them.

Please help PEAC by donating today. You can also help PEAC reach their goal by sharing this story with others.

Be sure to watch for updates on their progress on PEAC’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/OSPCAPEAC.

The Ontario SPCA is a non-profit organization. The compassion of the public enables us to provide urgently needed care and shelter for the thousands of innocent animals that suffer from injury, abuse or neglect each year in this province.
