ANIMAL CRUELTY INCIDENT IN THE TOWNSHIP KING
Investigators with the York Regional Police #1 District Criminal investigations Bureau are seeking witnesses following an incident of animal cruelty in the Township of King.
On Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at 4:30 p.m., York Regional Police responded to a rural address on Jane Street near King Hills Lane in regards to reports of an injured dog. Officers determined that sometime between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., a six-year-old, female German Sheppard was shot after she had wandered off of her owner’s property. The dog was rushed to a veterinarian’s office where she succumbed to her injuries.
York Regional Police are working in conjunction with the Ontario SPCA on this on-going investigation. We are asking any witnesses or anyone with any information to come forward.
