Adoption Update on Laddy

Laddy

Laddy was adopted from the Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre in Newmarket. Laddy’s proud new owner’s recently gave us this update:

Laddy has adapted well to his new family. Although at first he was very skittish, the children were able to bring him out of his shell.

The first day we went to the soccer field and introduced him to Dad, who was pleased to see that Laddy was wearing Newcastle colours. Then our trip home proved to be hilarious as he thought he would ride passenger… wrong! But all is well – he knows now to ride in the back.

After three days Laddy became comfortable with the invisible fencing, excited when he realized it covered approximately three acres of land.

Next was learning to walk on a leash- ok maybe not! But he walks beside us no problem, loving the five km runs. He is in his glory! Fetch is an all time favourite and our arm tires before he does.

Oh! And Edith our cat also loves him. It was amazing to us he did not bother with her at all. He is a wonderful companion and we feel very fortunate to have found Laddy.

I stand behind SPCA with my monthly gift

I stand behind SPCA with my monthly gift. I am so happy there are folks like you to care for those who can’t help themselves.  My family and I have had animals all our lives and know what a comfort they are.  Thank you SPCA.
