Meet Apollo & Aries! 🤍

These two handsome four-year-old White Swiss Shepherd mixes recently came into the care of one of our more northern centres. When they arrived, the transition was understandably overwhelming. Trusting new people and adjusting to an unfamiliar environment was incredibly difficult for these two gentle souls.

When the Midland Centre learned about their story, we knew we wanted to help.

Since arriving in our care, Apollo and Aries have been making steady, beautiful progress. Day by day, they are showing us little signs that their confidence is growing and that they are beginning to trust us.

When they first arrived, even connecting with them felt far too scary. Now, we are seeing wagging tails when we greet them in the morning, gentle treat-taking from our hands when we move slowly and calmly, and even moments where these bonded boys will playfully wrestle with one another on their walks. 🥹

These may seem like small things, but for Apollo and Aries, they are huge milestones.

There is still so much potential for these sweet gentlemen. We truly believe that their best selves may be revealed outside of the shelter environment, in a quiet and patient home where they can decompress, build confidence, and form a lasting bond with their forever person or people.

Apollo and Aries are a bonded pair, and their relationship is clearly incredibly important to them. They have one another to lean on as they navigate the world, and we hope their next chapter will be together.

These boys don’t need someone to rush them. They need someone willing to go at their pace, celebrate the little victories, and show them that the world can be a safe and wonderful place. 🤍
