Mickey is a sweet, shy dog who will need a patient and understanding family willing to give him the time he needs to feel safe and comfortable in his new home.

Moving into a new environment may feel overwhelming for Mickey, so having a quiet sanctuary space of his own when he first arrives would be very beneficial. This safe area will give him a chance to decompress, observe his surroundings, and settle in at his own pace without feeling pressured.

Mickey will also need time to build trust with his new people. He may be hesitant or reserved at first, but with patience, consistency, and gentle interactions, he can begin to form meaningful relationships with his family.

Mickey’s ideal home will understand that trust doesn’t happen overnight. His new family should be prepared to let him set the pace, celebrate small steps forward, and give him the time and space he needs to blossom.
