Rio is a handsome 2-year-old male Dogo Argentino who is looking for a patient, understanding family to help him continue building confidence and trust.

Rio can be nervous around new people at first, so he needs someone who will give him time to settle in and let him approach things at his own pace. He tends to feel more comfortable with women, and once he gets to know you, his playful personality really starts to shine.

One of Rio’s favorite things is playing with other dogs! He enjoys canine companionship and would do well with a family who understands dog introductions and can give him appropriate opportunities for socialization and play.

Because of his prey drive and comfort level, Rio should not live with cats or other small animals.
