Meet Spruce!

Spruce is back from foster and looking for his new forever home. He is a 4-year-old Shepherd mix with a big personality, boundless energy, and a heart full of potential. This active boy is looking for a home that can keep up with his enthusiasm for life while helping him learn the skills he needs to be the best companion possible.

Spruce is a very high-energy dog who loves to be on the move. He can be excitable and currently lacks some basic manners, so he will benefit from continued training, consistency, and structure. He is strong, eager, and sometimes forgets his size when he’s excited, but he is a smart dog who is capable of learning with patient guidance and positive reinforcement.

Because of his energy level and training needs, Spruce would do best with an active family that is committed to providing both physical exercise and mental stimulation. An adopter with experience handling energetic dogs, particularly Shepherd-type breeds, would be a great match.

Spruce enjoys the company of other dogs and has interacted well with those he has met while in our care. He also has interacted very well with children.
