Two-year-old Swan is a Great Pyrenees mix looking for an experienced adopter to provide the space, guidance, and structure she needs to feel happy and fulfilled.

Great Pyrenees are one of the working breeds. They are exceptionally smart, highly responsive to training, and eager to have a job to do. Like other working dogs, Swan is clever, high energy and has high physical endurance requiring significant daily exercise and mental stimulation. Working dogs are typically fiercely loyal, naturally protective of their family, person and territory; they bond deeply to their handlers.

Swan’s adopter will preferably have Great Pyrenees experience and appreciate the unique qualities and needs of the working breed. A large rural property with plenty of room to roam, explore, and express her natural instincts to patrol and protect is required. Swan is also looking for a cat-free home, and an adult only or a home with older dog savvy children.

If you have plenty of space to share, and a heart for a dog who needs the right environment to thrive, this special girl may be the perfect addition to your family!

If you would like to meet Swan she is staying at 91 Patterson Rd. in Barrie. Swan is ready to go home as a delayed adoption – she will need to come back for her spay appointment on November 12th. Dog adoption fees are $585 that includes spay/neuter, micro-chip, vaccines and deworming.
