IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Barrie, ON (September 16, 2024) – Get Ready for barks, brews, and a howlin’ good time at Barrie Pet-Oberfest, presented by Barrie Subaru, a FUN-draising event taking place on Oct. 6 at the Tiffin Centre for Conservation to help animals in need.

Hosted by the Ontario SPCA Barrie Animal Centre, Pet-Oberfest runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy a brew at the Bark Bar, presented by Black Lab Brewing, or check out the Mutt Market vendor marketplace, presented by The Hound Lounge, for local goodies for you and your pets. There will also be food vendors that will make you drool.

Canine friends are welcome to attend Pet-Oberfest, but please ensure they are leashed and on their best behaviour so Pet-Oberfest doesn’t go to the dogs! Cats and other furry, feathered and scaly friends are best left at home where they are comfortable.

“We are so excited to welcome the community to this fun event in support of animals in need in our community,” says Meghan Coish, Events Coordinator with the Ontario SPCA Barrie Animal Centre. “We continue to see an increase in the number of animals coming into our centre, and this event will help ensure we can be there to provide them with care and shelter.”

Proceeds from Pet-Oberfest will support the Ontario SPCA Barrie Animal Centre. As a registered charity that does not receive annual government funding, the Ontario SPCA depends on the generosity of donors to provide care and shelter to animals in need.

The first 200 people to purchase tickets will receive a free goodie bag, sponsored by Ren’s Pets. Plus, enter to win a door prize, valued at $550, sponsored by Kal Tire. To learn more and purchase tickets, visit ontariospca.ca/barrie
