IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Stouffville, ON (September 26, 2024) – Bark your calendars for Wednesday, Oct. 23, and get ready to howl with laughter at a Halloween themed comedy night in support of the Ontario SPCA York Region Animal Centre.

The Ha-Ha-Howl-O-Ween: Stand up for the Ontario SPCA comedy night will take place at Market Brewery in Newmarket. Doors open at 6 p.m. This event is sure to be a graveyard smash, filled with bone-tickling humour, hauntingly good drinks, and ghoulishly delightful company. Spend an evening with Newmarket’s own comedian Jesse Ralph, as well as Jeff Faulkner, who is a staple on the We Own the North Tour, and headliner Fiona O’Brien.

Although costumes are optional, come dressed in your best Halloween costume for a chance to win fang-tastic prizes! Canine companions are also welcome at this event, but please ensure they are leashed and on their best behaviour so the evening doesn’t go to the dogs. If your pooch enjoys getting dressed up, dress that werewolf in their most boo-tiful costume and bring them along.

As a registered charity that does not receive annual government funding, the Ontario SPCA York Region Animal Centre depends on the generous support of donors to change the lives of animals in need. By purchasing tickets for this spook-tacular event, you’ll be providing care and shelter to vulnerable animals in our community.

“We’ll see you there, if you dare!” says Jessica Zwarych-Boyd, Events Coordinator, Ontario SPCA York Region Animal Centre. “Where else can you spend an evening out with your canine pal, enjoy a good belly laugh, AND help support animals in need?!”

Thank you for your dedication

Thank you for your dedication to helping the animals.  Every animal deserves a loving home and to be treated royally.  Just imagine a day without animal cruelty.  What a wonderful day that would be!
