Veterinary care is just a click away with Vetster

Being a pet parent means staying on top of your pet’s health all year round. Routine veterinary visits for preventive care, including flea and tick prevention, help keep your pet happy and healthy through every season. When questions come up between regular veterinary visits, Vetster makes it easy to connect with a licensed veterinarian online for guidance from the comfort of home.

Thanks to a partnership between the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society and Vetster, an additional level of care for the animals at our centres is just a click away. Vetster provides on-demand online appointments with thousands of licensed veterinarians. Here are some commonly asked questions you may have about this service and how it could benefit your animals.

What is Vetster?

Vetster is a pet health platform that connects pet parents with licensed veterinarians through video appointments, in as little as 15 minutes. Browse verified profiles and real reviews from other pet parents, choose your vet, and get a clear answer about what’s going on, including whether your pet needs to be seen in person. Prescriptions, when appropriate, are at the treating vet’s discretion.

Can it be used for emergencies?

For life-threatening emergencies, please proceed to your nearest emergency veterinary hospital.

Are the vets licensed in Canada?

Yes, every veterinarian on Vetster is verified and licensed to practise in their region. Simply search for a vet by province on vetster.com.

What kind of health conditions can Vetster treat?
