Pawsitive Packs Program

Launched in York Region in 2024, the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society’s Pawsitive Packs Program is now expanding to communities across Ontario. The goal of the program is to keep pets with their families and prevent surrender or rehoming by providing support to those struggling to meet their pets’ basic needs.

Packs are assembled by our Community Outreach Coordinators with the help of volunteers and distributed through local partners, including food banks, warming centres, homeless shelters, and social service organizations.

The Pawsitive Packs Program relies on community donations and grants to continue supporting pets and families in need, ensuring that animals can stay in their loving homes even in challenging circumstances.  

Each Pawsitive Pack contains essential supplies for families facing financial hardship or housing insecurity:

  • Food
  • Collars
  • Leashes
  • Bowls
  • Blankets
  • Toys
  • Brushes
