Looking to add a furry friend to your family?
The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society and HomeEquity Bank are helping to make meaningful connections between people and pets during our upcoming iAdopt: Furever Homes event taking place Sept. 26-28 at Ontario SPCA animal centres across the province.
Thanks to our friends at HomeEquity Bank, all adoption fees during our iAdopt event will be reduced by 20% – and senior animal adoption fees will be waived entirely! Our goal during this three-day adoption event is to place as many animals as possible into new homes, with a special emphasis on creating perfect matches between our senior animals in care and adopters 55+. Senior animals offer steady companionship and a sense of connection that fits seamlessly into the lifestyle of older Canadians.
Special guest appearance:
On Sunday, Sept. 28, from 1–2 p.m., world champion figure skater Kurt Browning, a passionate advocate for animal welfare and longtime supporter of pet adoption initiatives across Canada, will be joining us at the Ontario SPCA York Region Animal Centre in Stouffville for a meet and greet. Come say hello, take a photo, and help celebrate the love that animals bring to our lives.
If you’re not able to adopt, consider becoming a foster volunteer. This time of year, many homes feel a bit lonely as empty nesters cope with kids going off to school. Adopting or fostering a pet not only gives these animals a loving home but also brings life-changing companionship, joy, and improved mental and physical well-being to their new pet parents.
