Emergency Preparedness Week 2026
Emergency Preparedness Week 2026
Now is the perfect time to make sure you have an emergency plan in place that covers everyone in your household – pets included! Have your supplies ready, know how to shelter in place and/or plan for a safe evacuation. A little planning now protects every member of your family when the unexpected happens.
Available at our Animal Centres
From May 1-10, visit your local Ontario SPCA and Humane Society animal centre to pick up a free emergency door decal, key tag and wallet card, while supplies last.
- Window Decals – A window decal alerts first responders that pets are inside your home.
- Wallet Cards – A wallet card makes sure someone can care for your pets if you’re ill or injured.
- Key Tags – A key tag alerts first responders and others that you have an emergency wallet card with more information.
72-hour Emergency Preparedness Workbook
Take the time to put together a survival kit containing everything you, your family and your pets will need in the first 72 hours of an emergency. You should check your emergency kit twice a year and update it as necessary.
