See the new “working cats” pilot program in action!

by | Podcast |

One of the goals of the Ontario SPCA when rehoming animals is to find the right home for each animal in its care. Community cats, which some people refer to as feral cats, require alternative homes due to their lack of socialization. The Ontario SPCA is giving these cats “jobs” as working cats.

As a pilot project, it is still in its beginning stages; however, we’re bringing you on the inside to see this program in action!

Cassandra is an employee of the Ontario SPCA Provincial Education and Animal Centre. When she heard of a cat at the centre who needed a special home that would allow him to work, she offered her barn as a resource.

Listen to our podcast or watch the video to learn all about the program, and how it’s helping cats like Jax!

Speaking for the ones who can’t speak for themselves

Keep up the good work speaking for the ones who can’t speak for themselves. A society who cares for their animals is a better society.  Thanks for your good work!
