Furry family members are such an important part of our lives, and it can be stressful when they aren’t feeling well. Thanks to a new partnership between the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society and Vetster, we’re adding an additional level of care for the animals at our centres.
Vetster provides on-demand online veterinary appointments by connecting pet parents to thousands of licensed veterinarians through video chat appointments 24/7.
Here some of the amazing ways this partnership will help animals in need:
- Free virtual appointments to animals in our centres to help us deliver an extra level of care across the province.
- No-charge access to foster families to offer an additional level of support and peace of mind.
- Animals who have undergone spay/neuter surgery through our spay/neuter services, including the SPCA Mobile Animal Wellness Services unit, will have access to a virtual care appointment post-surgery at no cost to their family.
- Ontario SPCA adopters receive one complimentary appointment to ensure they’re off to a great start in their new life together.
This partnership ensures animals always have the best care possible, without the stress of travelling, regardless of their location, or the time of day when a health concern arises. The Vetster service is designed to complement routine veterinary care.
Wherever possible, we will continue to work with our local veterinarians who have always provided exceptional care for the animals in our centres, and we encourage you to maintain a relationship with your own local veterinarian.
