Ontario SPCA Leeds & Grenville Animal Centre

Welcome! In 1956, the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society opened the Leeds & Grenville Animal Centre to increase access to essential animal care services in the community. The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society is a registered charity, established in 1873. The Society and its network of animal welfare communities facilitate and provide for province-wide leadership on matters relating to the prevention of cruelty to animals and the promotion of animal well-being. Offering a variety of mission-based programs including community-based sheltering, animal wellness services, provincial animal transfers, shelter health & wellness, high-volume spay/neuter services, animal rescue, animal advocacy, Indigenous partnership programs and humane education, the Ontario SPCA is Ontario’s animal welfare charity.

Will you help animals like Preston find a safe and loving home?

We need your help! Every animal in our care is looking for their match. We need 292 new monthly donors by June 15 to help animals in our care get adopted. Your monthly donation covers intake, medical care, Meet Your Match® profile creation, virtual or in-person meet and greet, and everything an animal needs to head to their forever home.

Aug. 3 is National Senior Pet Day, a day to celebrate animals of all shapes and sizes in their golden years. It’s also a day to reflect on the joy that comes with living and caring for our furry and feathered friends. And for the team at the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society, it’s a day to honour all the amazing adopters who have given a senior animal, like Rosie, a safe place to live out their days.
