Animal Bylaws

The Ontario SPCA Orangeville & District Animal Centre is contracted to enforce Animal Control Bylaws for the Town of Orangeville. License your dog!

If you live in the Town of Orangeville, you are required to have a current license tag affixed to your dog’s collar. Dog tags expire April 1st each year. Shelters across Ontario receive thousands of stray animals each year, and many do not have identification. Identification (including microchipping) is the best way to ensure that your lost pet can be reunited with your family!

DOG LICENSE FEES – Dog Tags expire April 1st, each year.

Town of Orangeville

Required by the Town of Orangeville Bylaw 68-2000, Sec. 4.1.1.

Subject to a set fine of $200.00 for non-compliance.

A maximum of three dogs per dwelling unit is allowed.

* April 1st, all dog tag fees are increased by $5.00 late penalty.
