- Spaying and neutering is a straightforward medical procedure with many health benefits. These include a reduction in the risk of developing certain cancers and illnesses.
- By eliminating the drive to reproduce, spaying or neutering can eliminate unwanted behaviours such as aggression, the desire to wander or escape, and inappropriate urination or marking.
- Clinics utilizing this spay/neuter model in the US have reduced shelter admissions and euthanasia by up to 70%!
- In 2014, Toronto Animal Services estimated there were 100,000 feral cats in Metro Toronto.
