Your efforts and passion will create a greater awareness of animal welfare issues and opportunities, and enable the organization to provide more care and find more homes for animals in the communities we serve.
*The Ontario SPCA requires all volunteers must be 14 years or older to participate in our volunteer program.
Foster Care Volunteer Position
You can change the life of an animal by becoming a foster care volunteer. This volunteer position provides animals with special individualized care outside of the shelter environment. You will be supporting an animal that needs us the most, by providing a comfortable and isolated place for pregnant animals, or offering a safe and quiet home for animals recovering from injury or illness.
Please note: volunteers are required to be a minimum of 18 years of age and have access to transportation.

The Ontario SPCA offers a variety of exciting and educational opportunities for co-op students that involve working directly with the animals or working for the animals (ex. photography or producing videos to upload to our website).
Placements are available in the mornings, afternoons, or full days. Limited spaces are available for each semester.
Please apply by sending your resume to Elizabeth Westover at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note, due to the high volume of requests we cannot guarantee a placement for all applicants. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
