The Ontario SPCA was pleased to participate in a transfer of almost 200 dogs to relieve an overburdened U.S. shelter.

This journey brought together the Ontario SPCA, Welland & District SPCABARK – Boudreaux’s Animal Rescue Krewe, North Bay and District Humane Society, Official Sarnia & District Humane Society, and Dog Tales Rescue and Sanctuary. Together, they went to help an American animal rescue group in Bastrop, Louisiana who were overburdened with the dogs in their care.

Almost 200 dogs were removed from the shelter and transferred to an adoption event in Stoney Creek, Ontario. Find out more about this story in a great video from Welland & District SPCA!
