Get active, have fun and support animals with the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society’s new Sweat for Pets summer challenge

Stouffville, ON (June 15, 2020) – Sweat for Pets this summer with the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society’s new virtual fundraising campaign that inspires people of all ages to get active and have fun with weekly challenges, while raising funds in support of vulnerable animals.

Sweat for Pets is a summer-long campaign aimed at inspiring the public to stay active through simple, fun, at-home challenges involving their pets. Starting June 22, the Ontario SPCA will kick off 10 challenges over 10 weeks to raise funds to care for animals in need.

Get ready to sweat for pets with a fun new challenge every week, while encouraging your family, friends and co-workers to pledge their support. The challenges can be done with or without pets and are suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Modify the challenges to match your interests. Or, create your own unique challenge in support of animals in your community. You can also challenge other pet parents or fitness enthusiasts to step up.

“Whether you have a pet or just love animals, it’s time to get active with the Ontario SPCA’s Sweat for Pets virtual fundraiser,” says Daryl Vaillancourt, Chief, Humane Programs & Community Outreach, Ontario SPCA and Humane Society. “This fundraiser is a way for us to come together – virtually – as a community to have fun, keep moving and give animals in need a second chance.”

Are you up for the challenge? Visit sweatforpets.ca to register or donate and change the lives of animals in need across Ontario.

I stand behind SPCA with my monthly gift

I stand behind SPCA with my monthly gift. I am so happy there are folks like you to care for those who can’t help themselves.  My family and I have had animals all our lives and know what a comfort they are.  Thank you SPCA.
