Halloween dog treats
Does your dog adore the occasional home-baked dog treat? Give this Halloween dog cookie recipe a try!
(Note: if your dog has any dietary concerns or restrictions, talk to your vet before feeding your pet any treats outside of his or her normal pet food.)
- 1/3 cup peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup water
- 1 ¼ cup white flour
- 1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour
- 2 tablespoons bran
- 1 1/2 teaspoons dry yeast
Mix all the ingredients together in a bread maker, or knead until a firm dough is formed. Cut the dough into smaller piles, and then use the cookie cutter of your choice to shape the dough. Once you have the cookies into the shape or style you like, place them on a greased sheet and bake at 300*f for approximately one hour. Once the cookies are baked, allow them to cool overnight so they are crisp before feeding them to your dog.
