5 Ways to Protect your Property from Wildlife
You don’t have to live in the country to see wildlife. Encounters are becoming increasingly common in the city as well. Now that the colder weather has arrived, you may even see an animal or two trying to find refuge on your property.
Wildlife proofing your property is an important step to ensure everyone’s safety and avoid conflicts. Before the winter months set in, take the time to follow some of these important steps.
Inspect attic and repair any openings. Before securing any entry points, ensure that animals are not already trapped inside.
Cap and cover chimneys and cover vent openings with wire mesh.
Install motion-sensor lights to startle and scare away wildlife. This will also help illuminate your surroundings so you don’t accidently walk into wildlife’s path.
Trim tree branches that overhang your roof.
Keep garage/shed doors securely closed.
These are just a few precautions you can take to protect your property from wildlife. You can find additional tips on handling wildlife by clicking here.
