Are you an animal lover and looking to get involved?

The Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre (PEAC) in Newmarket is looking to fill seven volunteer positions within the shelter.

These include:

  • Cat Care & Enrichment Volunteer
  • Animal Transportation Driver
  • Yard & Property Maintenance Volunteer
  • Adoption Centre Greeter
  • Small Animal Enrichment Volunteer
  • General Maintenance Volunteer
  • Office Support Volunteer

What is the process to get involved? 

  1. Apply online
  2.  Attend a Volunteer Screening Interview
  3. Attend a Volunteer Information Session
  4. Submit two references (criminal background checks are required for certain positions)
  5. Attend Basic Introductory Training
  6. Attend Placement Training
  7. All volunteers must be 14 years or older.
