Commitment: Guinea Pigs can live 5-7 years, so expect to have their love for awhile!

  2. Bring in some friends: This animal is a social being, so will be happiest with others of it’s kind. It’s typically best to pair them with one of their own sex.
  3. Give them space!: Just because they’re small, doesn’t mean they don’t need lots of space to roam. Even if the cage at the store is labelled “for Guinea Pigs,” it might not be the right size, especially if you have a pair. The bigger, the better!
  4. Chatty pets: Typically Guinea Pigs aren’t loud, but they will make a “wheeking” sound
  5. Keeping it clean: These pets are some of the cleanest you could find! They love grooming each other and themselves.
