by | Dog Care General Pet Care |

World Rabies Day is September 28th, 2020 and the focus is on vaccination and collaboration. Rabies is a viral disease that causes swelling in the brain of warm-blooded mammals. It can be transmitted by a bite and can cross from a dog to a human. A good idea to keep your pets safe is to vaccinate them!

  • Vaccinate your pets against rabies.
  • Do not handle wild or stray animals to avoid being bitten.
  • Contact your municipal animal control services if you see an animal in your neighbourhood acting strangely.
  • Always seek medical attention if you’ve been bitten by a strange animal.ies
  • Carefully supervise your pet while in the woods, cottage or any place wild animals may be.

I stand behind SPCA with my monthly gift

I stand behind SPCA with my monthly gift. I am so happy there are folks like you to care for those who can’t help themselves.  My family and I have had animals all our lives and know what a comfort they are.  Thank you SPCA.
